Hope Askew Biography
Inspiration: The one word that clearly describes Hope Sheree. This Spiritual Soul artist has all the reasons to give God all the Glory! With 3 R&B singles and 3 full length gospel projects under her belt, Hope is no stranger to ministry and hard work. Leaving R&B in 2000, Hope dived heart first into the arena of Gospel Music.
Fifteen years in, this award winner has won song of the year, been nominated multiple times for female artist of the year and her music has presented on Billboards’ Top 50 music charts. She has been on the cover of Gospel USA, and on TV shows like Bobby Jones Presents as well as presented for the Radio Stellar Awards. Hope also won the title of GMWA Chairman’s Choice Artist of the year in 2013. This recognition slated her as an artist to watch. Upon a recent return of her European Tour of Italy and Switzerland, Hope recorded for a new TV show called, “The Gospel” which is hosted by Olympic Gold Medalist LaTasha Colander-Clark that aired on the ION network in over 102 million households.
Hopes’ music has garnered national attention by such radio networks as Radio One, Clear Channel, Sheridan & Rejoice and her music has charted with the likes of Mary Mary, BeBe & CeCe Winans, The Sounds of Blackness, Jessica Reedy and more. Now, Hope has teamed up with KingdomGate Music Group for the release of a Christian anthem, “All The Glory” which includes its’ own global social media movement. This movement Hope says has changed her life. “Anytime you are looking around every day, all day seeking the goodness of God, you can’t help but be changed”. She goes on to say that, “while the anthem is a very small part of the movement, we are in hopes that the success of it will bring attention to the movement”. After only a few weeks at radio, the anthem has been added to over 151 stations making it #1 on Christian Radio Chart for Christian and Urban Christian Music. The movement currently has testimonies from Africa, Italy, Pakistan, Switzerland, and throughout the US. Hope is currently scheduled for multiple TV appearances which include The Cornerstone’s Networks’ show “Real Life” which airs to 5.8 million people.
“I am committed to fulfilling my purpose in Jesus”, adds Hope. “My vision is to provide a space where the love and goodness of God is openly displayed to all who seek His love, wisdom, and knowledge. To cultivate an environment where Christians can be free to express themselves and draw strength from the testimonies of others. We are building a global community that gives God All the Glory, with unconditional love and hope”. Hope was diagnosed in 2012 with MS and is pursuing her purpose despite the odds. After all, her name is HOPE.
I share this with tears in my eyes this morning! Everything I sing about in this song, GOD has released me from! Bondage is hell! Everything has changed! He came to set the captives free! DO YOU WANT TO BE FREE? The only chance you have is change! Thank you Byron Motley for writing a great song! #ReleaseMe, #ADoseofHope.org
